July 12 at Pioneer Square Dairy Farmers of Oregon Ice Cream Churn-a-ment An all-star group of local chefs demonstrate ice cream recipes developed to capture the taste of summer in Oregon using old-fashioned hand crank churns while they race to completion. Ice cream lovers of all ages are invited to watch the competition and sample some of the 22 million gallons of ice cream produced in Oregon every year.
July 13 at Pioneer Square EV Celebration Day Celebrate Electronic Vehicles! Electronic Vehicles and charging devices will be displayed on the Square to educate the general public about the benefits of Electric cars.
July 13 at Director's Park Portland's Annual Bastille Day Celebreation The biggest Bastille Day festival of its kind on the West Coast! Last year's celebration featured great food from Portland's top French chefs, many fun activities for children, a huge French book sale hosted by the Alliance Francaise, art & craft vendors (including many importers of French products), live French-themed music on the stage all day long, and the exciting Portland Waiters Race.

July 19-21 at Pioneer Square Yoshida's Sand in the City
The greatest beach party is coming to Pioneer Courthouse Square! Yoshida's Sand in the City PDX is Portland's largest sand castle building event that includes majestic sand sculptures, interactive youth exhibits, live entertainment and more!
July 19-21 in the Pearl District Portland International Beerfest PIB is a high end 3-day beer festival specializing in rare, hard-to-find, exotic beers. Over 150 world-class beers from 16 countries will be on hand, hailing from all over the planet, many from right here in the Pacific NW. Stroll around the beautiful park with a cold one as you listen to music play all weekend.
July 20-21 at Mt. Hood Community College Portland Highland Games A fun, family-friendly event with Scottish Highland music, dancing, piping and drumming competition, athletics, and cultural activities.
All Month at Pioneer Square Noon Tunes Summer Concert Series
For the 23rd year in a row, Pioneer Courthouse Square will host the ever popular Noon Tunes Concert Series that will entertain crowds of thousands each Tuesday and Thursday from Noon-1:00pm. The Noon Tunes Concert Series showcases some of the best in regional and local musical talent.
All Month at the Children's Museum
Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice Get transports back into time when dinosaurs last roamed the earth. In the new traveling exhibit, Dinosaurs, families will travel back to the Cretaceous Period (145 - 65 million years ago). Children will learn about natural history, scientific curiosity, and paleontology by going face-to-face with the prehistoric world and meet dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes. This exhibit promotes scientific thinking, experimenting, and curiosity through interactive component and hands-on activities.
All month at the Oregon Zoo
2013 Oregon Zoo Concert Series It wouldn't be summer in Oregon without a magical evening of great music at the zoo. Oregon Zoo summer concerts feature a diverse offering of world-class artists from June to September.
